i agree with your with your fire work proposal. Hopefully, your fellow political leaders will see it our way, too. It was supposed to be the day before, the day of the holiday and the day after, which is a big joke because it is continuous. Our dog has to be medicated all of the time, which is no way for her to live. The stable where we keep our horse is has to monitored by all employees which means we never go on vacation for the holidays.
I can’t imagine what it does to those suffering from P.T.S.D. Our poor veterans who suffer from this. How terrible !
If they won’t repeal the bill, then add a special taxes one on the sale and display of fireworks locations in parking lots, road sides etc…
This money would be used to cover any medical and or veterinary expenses that people encounter during this time period.
Thank you,
Jan Kaufman
While I am not in your district, know that I and many others support your efforts to repeal the 2011 fireworks law. Enough is enough and this in no way profits the quality of life in Michigan.
Have contacted my representatives since the fireworks law was passed in 2011. Bad bill from the start. What are the chances to get something done this year? My township people seem to be blind to the fact that something needs to happen with the current situation.
Good Luck getting something done.
Thanks for writing Dennis. We’re working to gather support from other legislators. I hope we can still get something done this year. Stay tuned.
