Residents in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties who are in need of help recovering from the great flood of August 11, 2014 – particularly those in Sterling Heights and Warren – can now receive assistance after President Obama declared a major disaster for Michigan as a result.
According to a press release from Gov. Snyder:
People who need assistance can immediately apply for grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses and other programs to recover from the effects of the flooding.
Individuals and business owners affected by the flood must register for assistance online at www.disasterassistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).
